Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Formula Live Pulse collects when you use the website at www.f1livepulse.com, the web app at app.f1livepulse.com and the iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”), why we collect it, and what your rights are. For cookies on this website, see the cookie policy.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is PULSE STACK LABS LIMITED, 9 Edenvale Rd, Ranelagh, Dublin, D06 TD85, Ireland (“we”, “us”).

2. What we collect and why

On the website

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data about each request (IP address, date and time, page, browser). We use it to run, secure and fix the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure site.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies. Only if you accept them in the cookie banner. See the cookie policy. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
  • Cookie-free statistics. We count visits with Umami, hosted on our own server, without cookies. See the cookie policy. It also records where visitors click and how far they scroll, to build heatmaps that show which parts of a page are used. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.
  • Email. If you write to us, we use your email address and message to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying, or taking steps you asked for.

In the apps and the web app

  • Account. You can use the app without an account. If you sign in, we process the sign-in details from your provider (email address, and name or profile data if you choose to share it) and an account identifier. Legal basis: performing the service you asked for.
  • Your activity in the app. Settings you choose, favourites, game entries and predictions, live chat messages and the display name you use there. Legal basis: performing the service.
  • Device and usage data. App version, operating system, device type, language, and how you use features (screens viewed, sessions, session length), collected with Google Analytics for Firebase. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app, and your consent where the law requires it.
  • Push notifications. If you allow them, a device token so Firebase Cloud Messaging can deliver notifications. Legal basis: your consent; turn it off in your device settings.
  • Subscriptions. Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your card details. We receive confirmation that a purchase is active, through our subscription provider RevenueCat. Legal basis: performing the contract.
  • Advertising in the free app. The free app can show ads served by Google AdMob and its mediation partners, which use a device advertising identifier. On iOS you are asked for permission first through Apple’s tracking prompt. Legal basis: your consent. Pro removes ads.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Who we share data with

We use these providers to run the Service. They act as processors on our instructions, unless noted.

  • Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics for Firebase, Google Analytics 4, AdMob, Google Ads, Google Fonts)
  • Meta Platforms (Meta pixel on the website, and advertising measurement)
  • RevenueCat (subscription status)
  • Apple (App Store, sign-in) and Google (Play Store, sign-in), which act as independent controllers for your store account and purchases
  • OpenAI and Microsoft Azure (to generate AI transcripts and recaps of public race data; this does not involve your account data)
  • MailerLite (email, if you subscribe to updates)
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers

We may disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

4. Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers process data in the United States or other countries. Where this happens we rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers, or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep data

  • Account data: until you delete your account. You can do it in the app, from your profile.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.
  • Server logs: a few weeks, unless needed to investigate abuse.
  • Emails to us: as long as needed to deal with your request, then deleted unless the law requires us to keep them.
  • Records we must keep by law (for example accounting records) for the legal period.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before. Write to info@f1livepulse.com; we reply within one month.

You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Because we are established in Ireland, you can contact the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections and limit access to personal data to the people and providers that need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where the law requires it, tell you in the app or on the website.
